This fabulous, large Seth Thomas sunburst clock from the 1960's - "Grandeur" is indeed a very fitting name for it - comes with all original parts in working order. It also doubles as modern wall art and will impart Danish modern character to any space. 48 wood paddles (teak or walnut - cannot tell for sure) sit on 32 metal spokes; all paddles can be rotated 360 degrees to create a variety of looks for your clock (see photo 3 for one possibility).

The clock is in excellent vintage condition. The original, ticking movement keeps good time and is adjustable. Takes one "C" cell battery (the clock will ship without it). The wood blocks are all excellent with the exception of one small block with a minor, shallow hairline crack which is only noticeable at very close inspection (see photo 4 right above 1 o'clock). Some minor aging on the brass finish of the spokes and face and some oxidation on the back of the mounting plate.

Marked with "Seth Thomas" signature on the face and has the original manufacturer label on the back.

Dimensions:
25 1/2" diameter overall
face - 7" diameter (this smaller original face design allows for full rotation of the first circle of paddles, in contrast to a later, more common 9" face version which partially blocks the first circle paddles and thereby prohibits rotation.)
