Antique small watercolor on vellum mounted on paper which is then mounted on what looks to be an old piece of advertising board. It is framed in an old period gold frame in a shadow box style. The watercolor depicts a woman in a cream dress with a blue shawl and blue hat on the ground next to her.

I suspect it is English but am not at all certain. There is writing on the paper it is mounted, appears to read "Miss Clara (or Dora?) Evans Thompson" below that in the lower left it reads "Seasons". And, in the lower right it is initialed " L.G.B.

The watercolor is in good vintage condition with a few minor scratches. One runs vertically from her hat to the tree and one is diagonal to the right of her dress. there is also a black spot to the left of her head. The paper where the inscription is looks to have a repaired break in it in the center. The paper is old and there are slight blemishes here and there but as a whole the picture is in great shape. I cannot tell how old the board it is mounted on is. obviously it is later than the watercolor and frame. The frame is scratched, soiled and has loss of gold. Ring at top has loss of finish. There is no glass.

The watercolor measures 3 x 3. the paper it is on measures 3 1/4 x 4. the frame measures 6 1/8 x 7.
