REDUCED today 7/8/2012 - Was $195 -- NOW only $120.00

Lovely lovely lovely soft cotton quilt from 1937, it is signed and dated. It is in very good condition even though it shows it's age. What I mean to say is that there are no tears or patches that are worn away like you see on so many older quilts - IOW, all those little red and brown triangular pieces are there and intact. Would you be able to find something that isn't MINT about this quilt? Yes, of course - it does show, that it is old - it is worn soft and the edge banding is worn (please, see photos - study all those details), I am sure the thread used for sewing the pieces together is somewhat less strong than when it was new in 1937 - 74 years ago; wait, that's my mother's age.

Look at the back of the quilt - there is a small part of the backing material that is slightly more cream in the color than the rest of the back. I am not sure if the material used is feed sacks but I think it could be. This item is Americana all the way. American from front to back, inside and out.

Oh my God, I love the traditional old quilts - they are so comfy, so beautiful, so soft, and so cozy. Swaddle your baby in this one and send the pictures all the way around the world via Facebook - everyone will know that your baby was born in America - a new American is born. (I am getting carried away :) ).

The quilt is angular in shape - not square - rather, the corners have been "cut off" the square creating an octagon. So beautiful to throw in a big old chair or across a bed in the guest bedroom.

Measurements: 47" x 47"

Makes a wonderful mother's day gift. Think about it :)
