Offered is a Victorian sterling brooch with a wonderful Mizpah sentiment. The design is sweet with the friendship/love knot, the flowers and the hearts. On one of the hearts is the following engraved sentiment: "The Lord Watch Between Me and Thee When We Are Absent From One Another." Mizpah often refers to an emotional bond between loved ones who are separated.

The condition is very good. The back has the original c-clasp which is sturdy. There are rose and green gold colored highlights on the designs which add a nice appeal. This has the hallmarks of the Lion (sterling), Anchor (Birmingham) and date letter of g (1906). The maker is S. Bros - which was Sydenham Brothers.

The brooch measures 1" x 1 5/8". This is a lovely token of affection and a delightful piece to add to a Victorian jewelry collection. Enjoy!
