I have not seen a Kokeshi quite like this, but I suspect this is
a traditional form that some folks will know about.

When unwrapped, the long paper scroll, which is wound on a
dowel shaped piece of wood, is blank. I am guessing, but I also
suspect that this is for blessings, prayers, family notations....
Something precious and meaningful to the person in possession
of this beautiful piece of art.

She is near perfect, unused, and generally handled well.
No stains, tears, or signs of use.
She is dressed in gorgeous and thick brocade, with
several layers beneath to look as though she is wearing the
traditional silk kimonos, white at the body.

She stands 10 inches tall, all of wood, and is carefully and
beautifully painted with high gloss finish. No mark.
