How do you make a carrot smile? Apparently, you steam it! This great vintage 1970s enamelware steamer pot is decorated with a variety of smiling veggies and seafood in bright happy colors, including a carrot, beets (or turnips?), peas, a mushroom, a tomato, asparagus, a lobster, a potato, a crawfish, a leek, and what appears to be a pickle (surely, it’s supposed to be a zucchini?). Is it lunch time yet?

The pot has a bright orange lid, and includes a speckled enamel steamer basket with handle for easy removal of your food when it’s done cooking. You can also remove the basket and use this pot to make spaghetti or soup stock.

The pot measures about 7.25” tall and 7.25” across the top. It’s in very good vintage condition, with a couple of very minor chips in the enamel on the underneath of the handles, and one more on the inside top lip. None of these show when the pot is viewed from a normal angle. The bottom is nearly pristine, with only very light wear (I’m happy to send a photo of it by request). I can find no marks or manufacturer’s information on this anywhere.

The smiling faces on the veggies make this an unusual design, and although similar pots with pictures of veggies are available (see link below), this anthropomorphic version is rarer and harder to find.

The last photo shows a similar enamel pot I’m offering separately here:

Domestic Shipping: The rate shown is for a 6 lb. insured parcel post package shipped to the zip furthest from me, but actual shipping to your zip code may be less. Feel free to convo me for exact rates. I will refund any postage overpayments.

Combined Shipping: I’m happy to ship multiple purchases together to lower shipping costs, but for most items I don’t pre-enter a combined amount as I prefer to figure it based on packed weight (it’s usually cheaper that way). If you’d like to know the cost to ship specific items together, just convo me. Combined shipping will always be less than shipping items separately.

International Shipping: Costs may be lower to your country. Feel free to convo me for exact rates. This item must ship via priority mail international, so the shipping rate will reflect this - unfortunately, it weighs too much to ship via first class mail.
