Possibly the oldest hat, in the finest condition that I have ever has the pleasure of finding. Hunter green silk bonnet is quilted and gathered entirely by hand. Fine even stitches. This hat dates to the Victorian period and could be anywhere from the 1840s-1880s. A ruffle of silk frames the face, the body is gathered and the curtain and tie flaps are quilted.

Measurements
-Length of hat: 10"
-Width of hat: 12"
-Front ruffle: 1"
-Ties measure: 21" long and 3.5" at their widest.
-Curtain (area covering neck): 4" long.

Condition
Excellent condition for an item of this age rating an 8 out of 10. There is one small hole in the back of this bonnet where the curtain meets the hat under the bow, visible in the last photo. It's more visible on the inside than it is on the outside. There is some wear to the flaps and a loose stitch here and there. One of the ribbon bows has lost a few stitches, but all the pieces are there and it could easily be repaired. There are a few spots on the green silk lining.
