Huge oak wall-hanging spoon rack or jewelry display case. 1970s vintage display cabinet, with hinged glass door style front. Fits 44 spoons on removable wood strips.

This gorgeous cabinet is beautiful and has all kinds of imaginable uses. Upright (as in photo 3) it measures fully 28 inches tall, and 13 inches wide. Strong metal hinges attach a sturdy, wood-framed front, with adhered-in glass in great shape. There is a small clasp as a closure.

The frame and glass surround are solid wood, and the back of the piece is a thick single ply of wood veneer. Four wood notched strips (original to hold decorative spoons) are held in with little screws from the back. There are two sturdy metal mounting hooks on the back as well.

So. If you love souvenir spoons, this is a great way to display a collection of up to 44 of them. It also works well as storage / display for necklaces (I use a spoon rack for this purpose in my home) with room to add some wee hooks for rings as well. Because the strips that hold the spoons are attached by screws, you could also remove them, and use the cabinet as some other sort of wall mounted display, or lay it flat on a coffee table (or market stall) to show off your favorite little treasures or wares.

Condition is excellent. What a beauty.

I apologize that this piece is too large and heavy to ship outside of North America at a reasonable cost. My other vintage items happily journey all over the world.
