Fantastic Victorian Scottish agate or pebble bracelet. Bracelet is a unique design with a beautiful array of colored agates. Agates are set into brackets of hand chased sterling silver. The engravings are beautiful! Flanked by double belcher link chains and closes with a secure barrel clasp. Bracelet is a more generous size then most Victorian bracelets at 8" and fits true to size. It could easily be shortened to fit more securely by removing some of the chain on each side. A few nibbles to the edges of the triangular pieces but otherwise in exquisite condition.

Scottish agate or pebble agate gained popularity during the Victorian era. Queen Victoria loved to travel to Scotland and brought pieces of agate jewelry home with her where it caught on and became a trend. Scottish agate is also called pebble agate because the rocks were often gathered as pebbles on the beaches of Scotland.

I do not clean antique or vintage jewelry pieces. I sell the pieces in the condition that I acquired them. Many people prefer the pieces with the original patina. Any cleaning, if desired, is left up to the new owner. Shipping does not include insurance. Please contact me for insurance or international shipping rates.
