This shallow porcelain bowl is is 5" across and 2" deep. The underside features a zig zag pattern, and the inside is glazed clear to showcase the bright white of the porcelain.

The outside of the bowl was glazed a very light green over a print (the process is a little like screenprinting, but onto clay). The design is made of bits and pieces of a map of Chicago noting tree coverage in the late 19th century. You can make out some major streets and river shapes, as well as the many dots representing wooded lots.

This is a process I've become fond of, so look out for more patterns like this in the future!

-The glazes I use are lead-free and food safe
-Pieces are high fired to over 2200°F
-Fine for use in the dishwasher and microwave
