Quite handsome Taxco silver stacking bangle has a repeating right hand print on its face. This is a wider bangle than most stacking bangles, measuring a nice 1/4”. The right hand is a symbol in Native American culture depicting the presence of humankind's work and achievements. The hand is also a universal symbol thought to protect its wearer from the evil eye. No matter how you interpret this symbol, the bracelet is nicely made and has a nice weight.

It is hand wrought and shows some irregularities along its edge as well as on the inside where it was joined together. It is marked “TAXCO” and possibly “HECHO EN MEXICO” (indistinct). This might be an earlier bangle (or not) because the mark is so faint, but my best estimate is 1970's.. Very good vintage condition with original patina.

SIZE: slightly over 2-1/2” inside diameter x ¼”W
