"A cap gun is a toy gun that creates a loud sound simulating a gunshot and a puff of smoke when the trigger is pulled." - Wikipedia.

This Pony cast iron cap gun was manufactured in the 1930's. It measures 5.25'' long and replicates the early Western Frontier style pistol. The gun hammer still cocks back and releases when you squeeze the trigger. We don't have the caps that go with the gun so we are not able to say with complete certainty that it fires, but everything seems to indicate that this gun should be in working condition.

This cap gun definitely shows signs of age - it has a good deal of rust and the trigger mechanisms are tough to move. But the character, the aging, and the "rough" condition of the piece definitely add to its vintage charm and appeal.

Whether you are a vintage toy collector or simply love the classic western look, this cap gun is the perfect piece for you!
