This is one of many interesting pieces she designed in the 1960's for Red Wing's "prismatique" line. The exterior is turquoise and the interior is white. It is finished in a semi-gloss glaze on the outside and a high-gloss glaze on the inside.
Each planter was individually made, and with such craftsmanship, there are inherent imperfections in the glaze, making each piece absolutely unique. On the outside part of the bowl, there are two manufacturing defects (quite common with these) as shown in the last photo. These do not seem to be chips as they are underneath the glaze. There is also one tiny fleabite along one of the bowl crease (photo #3). The interior of the bowl has some discolouration along the upper rim. Over all, in very good condition.
These planters are not easy to find and don't come up for sale or auction very often.
Dimensions: Approx: 3-1/4" high by 8-1/2" diameter. The bottom is marked "RED WING U.S.A. 790".
I have another prismatique planter listed and if you purchase two, I will combine shipping and ship the other one at no charge.
