Bear is the Keeper of the Dream Time, and holds the teachings of dreams until the sleeper awakes -literally, and figuratively -to them. Many Tribes have called this space of inner-knowing the Dream Lodge, where the confusion of our daily lives lets go........and where we seek and find the answers to our problems, with out the preconcieved notions. It is in the Dream Lodge that our ancestors sit in Council and advise us regarding alternative pathways that lead to our goals.

Bear lives in the Western point of the Medicine Wheel, and he symbolizes the power of introspection...of looking deep inside ones self. He is also a symbol of Herbal Healing, many Native people watched the bear to see how he cured himself of certain ailments....and duplicated those herbal cures on people suffering with a similar problem ,to help them heal.

The Bear Paw is hand sawn from Black Walnut, and inlaid with crushed Turquoise. The copper bezel setting was then created , and one of my copper Eagle Feathers with a bear paw design was added as decoration to this stunning piece.
This is a large piece of jewelry measuring 6-1/2" overall. The Bearpaw set in copper is 3 1/2" X 2", and the feather is approx. 3" long. This pendant comes with a butter soft twisted gold deerskin neck cord, and is ready to wear as soon as you recieve it.
