For this leather journal I have taken a reclaimed piece of sweet soft apple green leather and accented it simply with a small wood button made from a real tree branch. The wraparound cover shows off the natural angled cut of the hide and is left natural and beautiful. Inside you will find thick 70lb drawing paper. I have sewn the book using a matching bright turquoise linen thread and used the long-stitch method that allows the book to lie flat while in use.

Students, moms, artists and writers, graduates and fathers. We all use notebooks and journals in some form or fashion; something to jot down a list here, a to-do there, a phone number or even (gasp) hide a piece of a gum. Why not have a notebook with style- one that stands out in the crowd, doesn't look like the rest, is personal to you and above ALL else - is made from reclaimed leather AND recycled paper!

My leather notebooks are all made from high quality reclaimed leather and suede- pure scrap that I rescued on its way to the trash heap. Inside I always fill these books with recycled 70lb white drawing paper with a proper heft to hold pen and ink or pencil.
