This beautiful piece created by award winning Navajo artist, Gilbert Nelson, features gorgeous onyx inlay.

Gilbert Nelson is the master of inlay channel work jewelry. He selects only the finest natural materials and inlays some of the most unique and innovative designs in Indian Country. Master archer and member of the US Olympic team, Gilbert is also a painter and bead worker. He has made his own cd's as well, singing traditional Navajo songs.

The stone is an amazing midnight black separated with thin strips of sterling silver in a rectangular pattern. The item also includes stunning hand-etched designs with exceptional contemporary silver work.

Has a cream colored border framing that makes this evident it is one of his early 1980s designs.
