These bears and bench won a first prize in the Arts and Crafts Division, Burnet County, Texas Fair, 2012. I created these 2 bears out of a vintage (1960's) faux fur, full length coat. Mr. Honeypot is 21 inches tall and Mrs. Honeypot is 20 inches tall. Both bears have sewn on, hand painted and hand blown glass eyes, acrylic safety joints, hand embroidered nose and mouth. Their feet and paws are made from the coat's collar and front facings, which were made from fake leather (so popular in the '60s). I glued an applique on Mrs. Honeypot's foot to match the bow on her hat. The bears come with their own handmade, upholstered and embellished wooden bench. I started with an old handmade doll bench painted white, made side, seat and back covers out of some bright Mary Engelbreit print, added cherry appliques and wood accents and painted the wooden parts a light denim blue. Big and cuddly, these bears will be a great addition to any collection, a gift for a big kid (not suitable for small children to play with) or yourself. Ready to display with their own bench, too! Bears and bench will ship in their own box, well packed and tracked. Thanks for looking!
