Such an amazing find! 1970's Mexican shift dress from Fred Leighton! Before becoming one of the top celebrity jewelry designers, Fred Leighton owned a shop famous for their imported Mexican crafts, apparel and ethnic jewelry. Located on McDougal Street in New York City's trendy Greenwich Village.
This beauty is made of a medium weight royal blue cotton. Colorful rainbow monkey or lizard like folk art embroidery with fringe tassels and tiny beading down the bodice. Sleeveless with a round neckline and slight darts on the bust. Metal back zipper and hook and eye closure. In great vintage condition and such a unique piece! Note: Dress was clipped just a bit on the model.

Measurements are taken while garment is flat. Multiply by 2 for bust, waist and hips.

Keep in mind that vintage tag sizes run smaller than modern sizes.
