Vintage Japanese kimono silk panel in olive green with hand embroidered flowers in red, white and gold. Fantastic!

This wonderful vintage rinzu Kimono Silk fabric from the Taishò period (1912 - 1926) is a dark olive green color (a bit darker then I was able to show in the photos) and has been hand embroidered with pretty Japanese flowers. Some of the flowers' centers have gold thread embroidery as well.

The fabric has a very soft, very fine wonderful drape in hand. There is a fine sheen to the smooth surface, and would lend itself very well to a multitude of your projects and creations. Or would make a gorgous collector's panel when framed and displayed. There is one tiny hole in the design part of the fabric, and the fabric is showing signs of age, which it entitled to do considering it is at least 80+ years old. "-)

This vintage kimono panel measures approximately 14" wide by 62" long. The actual embroidered design in the fabric measures 11" high by 9-1/2" side, the upper part of the fabric is plain olive green with damask effect. (rinzu silk).
