1940/50s Hammat Original Pottery Bowl - signed on back
mold number 532

12" x 11" x 2"

The pottery was made in Oklahoma by Flora Eckert Hammat, who was later assisted by her daughters. It is categorized as "biomorphic" pottery, taking its shape from the natural world. It was also highly prized by people who love Frank Lloyd Wright integrity of design.
The glazes came in beautiful shades of turquoise, a soft cocoa, rose-beige, and even white. The outside was not glazed, but left a natural clay color.
