These glass drops are called Talhakimt beads and were used in trade in Africa, particularly in Saharan Africa by the Tuareg. They are considered a good luck charm which can ward off evil and illness. They can be worn as drops, in the hair, or sewn on clothing. These are the baby version of the antique Talhakimt, which were made in either Bohemia or France in the early 1900s. There are 5 in the lot.

These beads are a satiny green, presumably to replicate jade. They are translucent.

The second picture is just for fun, showing an antique Talhakimt in red next to the smaller green drops.

I have had many customers use these for belly dance costumes.
