Grow your own hydroponic herbs, veggies, and much much more! Our 3D printed mason jar sleeves allow you to turn a 32oz wide mouth mason jar (max 4" diameter) into your own hydroponic planter by blocking light and protecting plant roots. Our products are 3D printed to order with PLA bioplastic.
In a still water, Kratky, hydroponic system, plant roots grow into nutrient rich water. The roots drain the water and change structure to absorb oxygen. In order for the plant to continue to grow, the water level must be controlled to maintain the balance between roots in water and roots in air. Our 3D printed mason jar sleeves allow easy access to see and refill the water in the hydroponic reservoir.
All sleeves come in two parts, a main container and a lid. The lid is threaded to screw right on to a mason jar. All you need is a 3" net pot and you are ready to go.
Adding plants is easy. Start your seeds in rapid rooters, rockwool cubes, or peat pellets. Once seed has sprouted, put it in the net pot and fill around with clay pebbles. Add nutrient rich water to the bottom of the net pot and watch it grow. Remember to refill the water and maintain the balance between roots in the water and roots in the air.
Item does not include mason jar, net pot, seeds, plants, rapid rooters, rockwool cubes, peat pellets, clay pebbles, nutrients, etc. It is just the 3d printed sleeve that includes the container and lid.
