A small vintage glass dish with a black lace motif by Chance of England.

This little Lace pattern rectangular glass dish is part of the Fiestaware range by Chance Glass. Nice curved shape and rounded corners, with a double doily image and looped border.

Chance glass was very popular in British households in the post war years, and the patterns used in the Fiestaware range are great examples of 20th century design here in the U.K. this design was in use from 1951 to 1981.

As with all Chance glass, the transfer print has been applied to the underside of the piece. Made from pressed glass which is an 8th of an inch thick. Some pieces have gold applied to the rims, some like this one do not. This piece measures 5.25" long by 4.5" wide and is in good condition with no loss to the pattern, but it does have a tiny nibble to the underside of the rim near one of the corners as seen in the photos.

*Not to be confused with the US Homer Laughlin range of Fiestaware*
