Vintage HONEYWELL ELECTRIC EYE 35R 35mm CAMERA Mamiya Photography Japan Japanese

A vintage Honeywell Electric Eye 35R 35mm camera, originally produced by the Mamiya corporation of Japan in the early 60s.

Vintage example of 1960s photography technology. This item is a Honeywell Electric Eye 35R model 35mm camera. This 35mm camera is coupled with a rangefinder, and was manufactured by Mamiya in 1962. The camera comes with its original ever-ready leather case and strap.

The meter which controls the auto diaphragm surrounds the lens. The camera was sold both as the Mamiya EE Merit and Super Merit and has a fixed 40mm 1:2.8 Mamiya-Kominar lens, an automatic shot counter and four shutter speed settings: 1/30, 1/60, 1/125 and 1/250. This camera has a bright-line viewfinder which shows not only the picture area but also the meter needle, the aperture, three distance symbols for rangefinding and the word 'end' to indicate the termination of the film.

The camera is 5 1/8 inches wide, has a height of 3 1/8 inches and is 1 1/4 inches thick (the lens extends this another 1 inch). The camera weighs 1 pound, 5 ounces.

Camera is in excellent condition and appears to be working. The film advance works smoothly, but I dont have the film or knowledge to be completely sure it works. Camera may be returned for money back if you are not happy with it.

This camera is a well-preserved and great addition to any vintage camera collection.
