The eerie yodel of the Common Loon is a symbol of the wild North. The territorial call of the male loon can be heard from lakes across Canada to the very northern United States.

This pair of loons have been needle felted from sheep's wool. Needle felting is a time consuming process in which wool roving is repeatedly poked by a single barbed needle. Great care has been taken to accurately depict the loon's markings and color. Mama loon is 6-7 inches long, which is approximately 1/4 - 1/5 the size of a real loon.

Your bird is custom made once you place your order***. I usually ship your order within 3-6 days of payment, but please allow me up to 2 weeks to get your order done, especially during busy holiday times or for multiple orders. If you need your order by a certain date, please let me know! During the Christmas rush, I am overloaded with orders by the end of October, so please order early!

Please remember that these birds are not meant to be handled by small children.

***I have a limited amount of birds in my inventory ready to ship out within 2 days. Please refer to my announcement on the first page of my shop for an updated listing of what is available.
