Yum in a can! So quick and easy, and no one has to know you didn't slave over a hot stove all day. Blue Runner’s creamy and delicious beans are different from all other canned bean products on the market today.

Founded in 1918, the secret to great tasting Blue Runner Beans begins in the fields of select areas in the United States. Climate is the key, with just the right amount of rainfall, sunshine, temperature and soil conditions factored together, to produce a bean good enough to make Blue Runner Beans. Growers in these select areas of the country produce a bean with consistently higher moisture content. For generations, Blue Runner has been buying beans only from the same family of growers. It is the first step in our quality control process.

The beans are then slow, kettle-cooked for hours, the same way as the original recipe, to achieve the rich creamy content and flavor that make Blue Runner Beans so delicious. To achieve the consistency that every chef strives for, Blue Runner controls the entire cooking process in our own facility; we never co-pack. Our open kettles softly stir the beans, slowly cooking them, for hours. Once the pot has the perfect balance of bean cream and soft whole beans, we can ‘em and cook ‘em some more.

The majority of other canned beans brands are “brine packed”. This means the cans are half filled with dry beans then topped off with salt water (brine). After the cans are sealed they are cooked in the can for a short period. Open any other brand, pour all the water out and see how much is left!

The painted area of the ornament canvas is approximately 3"x5", 18 count Mesh
