Handcarved ceramic knitting yarn bowl in satin white glaze with carved ivy leaves and spirals design.

The cutout for the yarn to slip through is my triple spiral design, which provides three hooks to hold the yarn. It also has cutouts of spirals and ivy leaves through which yarn can also be slipped out.

This bowl is 3 3/4 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter.

No molds were used in making this item. I threw it on the potter's wheel and fired it twice in an electric kiln.

I think that you'll love this yarn bowl!

When you're not knitting (or if knitting is not your thing), you can use it as a candy bowl, or as a catch-all for your keys and change, or you could sit a candle in it.

Frequently asked questions about GlyntPottery

I will gladly make a custom order for you. Custom orders usually take 3 to 4 weeks. Depending on the time of year and where I am in the production cycle, orders may take up to 6 to 8 weeks. Personalized items that are not generic (e.g., Dad, Mama) require a 50 percent deposit. Payment for other custom orders is due at purchase.
If properly cared for stoneware can be enjoyed for a long time. Never place a dish on top of a burner or in a preheated (hot) oven. Instead, place room temperature dishes in a cold oven and gradually bring the heat up to the desired temperature. Dishes should be filled so food contacts all interior surfaces.

Teapots should be warmed with hot water before filling them with boiling water. The same is true for colanders: never pour boiling water directly into them.

Stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. However, please use care. Some items, such as berry bowls, might best be hand washed.
Because of the fragile nature of ceramics, I pack the items in several layers of bubble wrap before placing them in a box surrounded by biodegradable peanuts. In some cases, it is best to ship multiple items is separate boxes to prevent breakage.

I do not offer gift wrapping, but I can include a message to the gift recipient. The message will be printed in a script font in an appropriate blank card or the back of a Glynt Pottery postcard. Please let me know (in the message from buyer) if you are interested including a message with your gift.
