One of my best buys ever. :) Keep up the good work! ... comment from a recent customer regarding one of the chemo caps.

This color has sold out many times and I found more or the yarn. This is a favorite for men and women. This is my newest style of chemo cap made from bamboo yarn which is incredibly soft to wear. The yarn is lightweight and in a taupe color for all seasons. It is a soft, durable, luxurious and silky natural fiber. I knit the hats in "the round" so there are no painful knots.

The hat is the color of 'taupe' and would be great for both men and women. This hat fits 20"-23" around comfortably. This hat should fit a preteen to adult. If you need another size just let me know.

Hat should be handwashed and lay flat to dry. Spot cleaning is best.

Thanks for looking at this new type chemo cap! I also have an ever changing supply of hand knitted and vintage items in my shop. I would happily do a custom order for a chemo cap, just convo me. Please come back and check my every changing inventory.

Many of my chemo caps are bought by loving friends or family and that always inspires me to do more because of the pure love behind the gift. They write me stories about their loved one and how much they want to make their lives more comforable and lovely. I have made custom orders for mothers, fathers, children and the one I remember was for a little girl's best friend.

I think they come to me because I understand and I get it. I have years of experience with cancer patients, my Mom was one. She suffered five bouts of cancer in 25 years. The last time was in her brain and that changed everything. We looked everywhere for caps that were lovely and comfortable for her. Then I was in a yarn store that gave patterns for chemo caps for free, I took a copy of the pattern never thinking I'd be able to make one of these caps. I had never knitted in the round before. But my mom and I did it as a team. She told me that loosing your hair to cancer is not only mentally painful but extremely physically painful also. She couldn't stand anything on her head that had ridges, knots, wool or polyester. The only yarns that worked best for her were silks, rayons, cotton and bamboo. She needed a yarn that was softer than a yarn that you would knit for a baby. She gave me wonderful insight on the types of yarn that would be comfortable.

*Please note: there are different prices regarding the chemo caps due to type of yarn, availability of yarn and cost. This hat was specifically made for chemo patients so I try to keep my prices low enough to just cover my costs. I remember how expensive the doctor appts and meds are.

More comments from customers:
Wow...I saved this the other day in my cart and it was gone this morning, so I'm happy for you and that you're making another survivor with blue eyes happy. :-) I had my 1st chemo treatment yesterday and they said I will definitely be losing the curls, so you're the 1st thing I thought of this morning. THANK you, Tammy Jo, for creating something that is more special, and filled with the feeling of love than I think you'll ever know. My best to you and your family, and I'm sure I'll be back.

So glad to have found your shop! My mom just had the last of her post chemo 'fuzz' cut off about a month ago, and a week later they found that her cancer has reoccurred and spread to her lungs, she is so upset to be losing her hair again. I LOVE the falling snowflake hat!"

Thanks for making such a nice plain cap - I have been looking for a hat for my dad, who is having chemo, and the pretty/feminine ones just wouldn't do. :)"

Thank you so much for creating these beautiful hats and for the lovely gesture of their minimal cost. I was hoping to find just such a thing on Etsy and was very happy to find you and very moved to read your own story. I'm sure that much good karma is headed your way. ;)

Thank you! I am giving this to my daughter's friend who is 9 and has leukemia. She just lost her hair last week. Thank you so much for offering it.
