These toile de jouy stays were created for a photoshoot, and were worn for two short periods of time. I'd love them to now go to a good home.

Created from an original 1785 pattern the stays are made from cotton toile de jouy fabric over a coutil core and are lined with raspberry cotton. The back edge is bound with pink suede and the same suede trims the straps which tie at the back with ribbons. The stays are boned with a combination of steel and plastic to keep the weight down whilst retaining a firm shape. Cotton perle herringbone stitch embroidery finishes them off.

I would normally price stays at £500 but these have been discounted by 30%.

The measurements are: Bust 31", Waist 21", underarm to waist 8.5" That's closed , but there's scope to leave a gap of course. The straps are adjustable and tie with ribbon at the back.

As you can see it worked well on two very differently shaped models.
