In the spring of 2005 Fairy Doors began showing up in shops throughout downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. This delighted adults and children alike as they speculated as to the fairies that had apparently made downtown their home. Still going strong, interest in the Ann Arbor fairies continues to grow.

Why not bring some of that whimsy into your home with your own fairy door. Fairies, it seems, love anything shiny, sparkly and colorful. So entice a fairy (or two) to move in with a colorful door that says “please join our family”. Fairies are playful creatures. If you set a trinket (a penny, charm, etc) on the doorstep, you just may return to find it replaced by a different trinket. Think of them as tokens of affection. AND...you grownups will love this.....fairies sometimes tease their humans by moving objects from one place to another. You may leave your glasses or your keys one place, only to find them someplace else entirely. Misplacing things will no longer be your fault. From now on “The fairy did it!”. Oh, and did I mention that fairies bring good luck?!

Your door is made of wood and is approximately 9 3/4” tall. It has architectural detail on top and a doorstep that is reminiscent of granite (both are exclusive to Rock In A Heart Place). The door is aqua and features a handmade (by me) polymer clay heart with gold wings. The "curtains" are made of paper printed in rainbow-colored stripes. The doorknob is shiny brass (fairies love anything gold). Comes with little bottle of FAIRY DUST.

Set it against a wall or on a shelf. If you wish to hang your door on the wall like a picture you will want to use the plastic picture hanger on the back (you provide the nail). Please note that this is not a toy. It contains small pieces that may become dislodged and may create a hazard for small children. Just keep your door a safe distance from tiny fingers and all will be well.
