Don't be fooled by these neutral desert tones, with its windswept dye patterns this one is wild and crazy! Gorgeous streaking dye patterns are overlaid with paint stamped scroll motifs in metallic copper and graphite. Neckline and lapels are charmingly embellished with the signature tattered confetti trim overlaid with a cotton knit trim. This elegant vest features two side godets made of hand dyed silk velvet as well as two front pocket, mix matched applique little works of art in themselves. Front of vest features two loop and button closures with resin buttons that look like carved wood. Funky, quirky, lots of whimsy, yet still a very elegant piece!

Easy care cold water wash, gentle cycle. Medium heat or line dry.

A brief description of how my clothes are made. All of my clothes are hand made from my own hand dyed fabrics. I do all of my own dying and I do all of my own sewing. Almost without exception, all trims are my own hand dyed recycled scraps. Sometimes I use vintage laces, silks, chiffon, velvets, etc. and these are almost always hand dyed as well. All garments are double stitched at their seams. A straight stitch is used first, then the seam is laid open and overstitched with a decorative stitch. All edges are stitched regardless of whether trim is then overlaid or not. All seams are inside out and edges are stitched outward as well. By the time you receive your garment, it is color set and will not fade or shrink. The dyeing process includes multiple washings and drying. Once the garment is constructed I give it a final wash and dry then trim all frayed edges and loose threads. The look of the clothing is meant to have some fraying, but not like it is falling apart! These garments really must be seen to be appreciated. The dye patterns, colors and textures of the fabric all come together to create a fabulous look that a photograph just simply cannot capture! If you decide to purchase, be prepared to fall in love. My clothes are truly artful, one of a kind, comfortable and sure to last for years!
