She thought she'd cry, but she didn't. As she watched the firefighters practice on the house she grew up in, she felt only peace. She allowed the flames to take any painful memories and collected the sweet ones. She felt a peace and cleansing that was almost magical.
Brilliant and bright, Ablaze is a delightful batch of crimpy, lamby locks.
Mo hand washed a soft border leicester lamb fleece she purchased from a 4H girl in Tennessee. After the last hot rinse, she dyed them orange, terra cotta, and red. She used food safe dyes and the kettle method. They came out soft and crimpy. The staple length averages 5". This lamby was a frolicky one, so there may be a little vm I missed in some of the locks that did not wash out, but will fall out if you choose to card or fluff for lockspinning. I did not want to disturb the lock structure, so these are a titch clumpy, but not felted at all. They will pull right apart. (The ones I kept did!)

Care: Handwash in cool to warm water with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry.
This fiber can felt, so wash your finished product accordingly.
