This pretty little book (48 pages) was published in 1946 by The Riverside Press Cambridge, an imprint of the Houghton Mifflin Company Boston.

It covers a lot of ground, exploring different types of plants, plantings for the different seasons and a variety of presentations from terrariums to window boxes.

Filled with delicious colour renderings, the book is also an interesting study of interiors of the era.

The overall condition is good, with some minor damage to the binding at the back, and a 6" tear on the back fly leaf that was repaired with now-yellowed cellotape. There are also some handwritten notes, in pen, on the inside back cover.
