Very beautiful, rare blue and white china serving dish produced by Josiah Wedgwood sometime between 1840 and 1868. This lovely dish is the beautiful “Horticultural” pattern featuring a lily in the center, surrounded by various intertwined flowers along the edges, printed in blue underglaze.

Very good condition. Of course there are some defects. If you run you fingers around the underside of the rim you will feel tiny rough places. There looks like there might have been a chip repair at one place on the underside of rim - very hard to see. There is a discoloration spot on the plate of the bowl (under the two small bells on the right of the photo). Some crazing. Discoloration spots on the inside of the cover. No chips. No cracks.

Signed "Wedgwood Pearl"
"Horticultural" cartouche
letters "R" and "W"

"W" inside cover
