What a sweet bit of vintage Americana! I found this little 8 x 3.5 inch framed art at an estate sale and its age is a bit tough to discern, except that a prior owner noted on the back the identity of the artist (not a known name) and dated it 1927. I really can't tell if the artwork is original or a print, but it is a very nice depiction - probably done in pastels - of a barn with a light burning inside on a cold, snowy night.

You can see the back is rather rough and there are two spots where tips of what might be nails are poking through. The art deco wooden frame is simple, but has a lovely little design on it -- and I suspect it may have been custom-made, considering the size of the artwork. There are wear marks on the lower left and upper right corners and a little hook was affixed in the top center for hanging, although this piece would also look quite nice on a small easel.
