Cobalt Blue Ceramic Gazelle Figurine marked and dated 1962, Smoky Mts and looks so similar to the Royal Haeger pieces but I don't believe it is a Haeger because of the markings on the bottom.

The blue coloring of this figure is so dark and rich that it appears Black until you look at it closely. The Gazelle form is also not the first think you notice or think of when you first set eyes on this piece. In fact, it looks like a very Mod & Abstract Sculpture. The sleek lines, flow and color makes this figure really stand out and seems to change shape right before your eyes.

It is in Excellent Vintage Condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or crazing. There is one small area (tiny) that appears white where the cobalt paint/glaze did not cover during the firing process and is not a nick (see photo #5).

This Stage would look Amazing in any Modern or Mid Century Modern abode. Great conversation piece and a fabulous accent to any Masculine Office or Den.

There is a simple '54' marked on the bottom (see photo # 4)

Measures approx:

13 1/2" (h)
4 1/2" (w) at the widest part
3 1/4" (w) at the base

Don't wait on this one, it is truly a unique Find.
