Known for his soft, yet structured, architectural sense of clothing, Matsuda was the architects’ fashion designer. Admired for his sense of structured silhouette and arty nuances, this jacket is no exception with its unique detailing of applied geometric shapes and almost kimono shape. Since his death in 2008, his clothing is becoming a collector’s dream. This is an exceptional piece to wear or to collect. I just imagine it over a bride’s dress or dressed down with jeans and a sequin top under the jacket. So many possibilities and oh so stunning.
