Postcard is in OK condition with wear and discoloration on the back.

Front of postcard says: 1280 -- U. S. Battleship "Maine." 813 Officers and Men. Length 388 Feet. Main Battery 20 guns.

This particular USS Maine was the second one (the sinking of the first one was one of the events that led up to the Spanish-American war) and was the leading battleship in its class in the early 1900s. First launched in 1901, the U. S. Maine was decommissioned (for the second and last time, being recommissioned in 1911 for WWI) in 1920 and was sold for scrap metal a couple of years later.

I started collecting vintage postcards a couple of years ago. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Each order comes with a bonus random card from my collection.
