Wow- fabulous vintage barbeque bib set! Be the life of your own party with this set of six hilarious, whimsical picnic bibs from the 1940's.

Each one features amusing depictions of the hazards of eating. An ear of corn can chip a tooth and put out an eye, Seeing a mouse or a spider causes lovely ladies to pour beverages all over themselves.

And don't forget the slippery foods! Hot dogs will fly out of your bun and into the eager jaws of your patient pooch while a sardine sandwich may just leap out of your bread and jump down your dress. Thank goodness you have these extra heavy and durable bibs to catch all the stains and mayhem brought on by the dangerous act of eating!

Produced by Baker-Lockwood, they are called 'Life of the Party Bibs' and come in their original box. Also in the box is the promotional one-sheet that came with the set describing the fun of the Life of the Party series.

They are not mint as they appear to have been washed though I don't think they were ever used. Made of heavy cotton, each measures 13" long and 9" wide. They have no holes or stains but there does seem to be some wear (pic #4). The box is a little dinged mostly some light stains and pieces have been torn away from the top, probably from where there were price tags. Matching the tablecloth featured in Pamela Glasell's 'Collectors' Guide to Vintage Tablecloths', p. 85, these are a rare and fab find!
