Stunning rare pair of vintage 1920s chandelier Art Deco earrings! Long dangling orbs of swirled green galalith dangle from a screw back button top. The top buttons have a black enamel flower with the bottom having striped of black coming from the bottom. Simple and elegant!

Galalith is a synthetic plastic material manufactured by the interaction of casein (milk protein) and formaldehyde. The fashion industry during the early 20th century found this to be a wonderful alternative to the more expensive horn, ivory and bone products. This new plastic was presented at Paris Universal Exhibition in 1900.

Measurements: 2"
Circa: 1920
Condition: Very good with no chips or nicks to the galalith..no green verdigris to the brass with the enamel complete
