I have been lucky enough to find this precious piece of burnt silk velvet in a little fabric shop who imports small quantities of exquisite fabrics to make this russian dress. The mesh base is black and the pattern is a kind of leopard or animal print in rich shades of burgundy, pink, green and gold. This was the central piece of the empire dress, and started to construct the velvet dress.

I had a antique piece of handmade lace from a chemise that I wanted to use and I thought it would add contrast. The upper part is made from a deep red velvet. The empire waist of the gypsy dress is emphasized by the jacquard ribbon with giant roses embroidered. There is 4 chantilly delicate lace inserts all around the skirt, tea dyed. The hem is made with a dark pink lace. The skirt of the bohemian dress is lined with dark red sateen, that you can see trough the lace. There is zipper at the back I can't stop to think about Russian dolls seeing this dress.

This would be awesome paired with a victorian jacket, a blouse and a pair of boots. Perfect to go out for festivals, for Christmas, for your birthday or any other special event you want to be unique.

This folk dress is one-of-a-kind and will never be duplicated.

***This would fit on small to medium sizes.***I'm available to assist you for fitting

***Sizing US 6***
The dress measures 34" over the bust area; (your bust circumference)
The empire waist mesures 30" under the bust
The length from the top of the shoulder to the empire wait is 13"
The total length from the top shoulder to the bottom hem is 36"
I would recommend to compare the measures to an actual dress you own.
This would fit to a small to medium size.

Frequently asked questions about mynoush

I recieved many request for custom clothing orders. Unfortunatly, I can't take custom orders. I do not duplicate sold items, or make two items from different sizes. But, I do shorten straps, take a few inches on the sides to make pants or dresses smaller.
This is a question of organisation and space management.

For hats, I regularly add bunch of new hats so I invite you to come back to see if you can find the color you are searching for.

I do not take custom orders, I do clay once a year in summer. Next dreads beads will come in summer 2016.
I have customers all around the world with different sizing systems. This is why I choose to give key measures of the clothing I make. I could give you an approximation of the US size of cloth, because Im from Canada. But the best way to know if a piece will work for you is to take a similar clothing in your wardrobe and compare its measures to the one in my shop. You can send me your measures, it help. Always remember that you need extra inches to be able to move into a jacket, except for stretch tanks.

If you don't have a ribbon ruler, you can take a piece of thread, yarn of ribbon, non stretch, and report the measure on your flat ruler.
I live in Quebec, Canada. I only work with fiber from canadian farms, trying to encourage local farms as much as possible. I live near a large alpaca farm, so all my alpaca fiber is coming from there. I also work with others canadian farms to work with their fleeces, like angora goats for mohair, and sheeps for lincoln locks, cotswold, corriedale and romney. Im a big fan of textured yarn so I mostly spin directly for the locks to preserve their shape and show their natural beauty. I also dye myself all the yarn.
