This unusual and very special yarn comes from a barely worn sweater by "The Limited". It has a two-ply construction with a nice twist. One ply is a spring green, the other is a soft white. Flecks of turquoise and red create an attractive tweed.
The overall look is an upbeat "Pistachio" green that looks especially nice in cables.
The blended fibers include cashmere and silk, and create a very soft yet strong yarn. The nylon content makes it awesome for socks!

All of my yarns are carefully unwound from quality pre-owned garments. I soak the yarn in Kukaburra luxury yarn wash which is designed to help restore the fiber's innate qualities. It is extremely gentle and contains tea tree oil which is naturally antibacterial and helps remove any impurities. My yarns are left smelling fresh and clean.

I hang my yarns to dry and this helps to remove kinks. If necessary, I will also steam out remaining kinkiness. Once in while, a stubborn yarn will still keep some memory of its former life, but this is rare.

Just as with some new yarns, occasional joins are inevitable, but I do my best to identify and avoid knots. Any breaks I encounter in 100% animal fibers are felted for strong, essentially invisible joins.

I love unraveling sweaters. I find it very meditative and believe it is a wonderful way to reuse luscious fibers and be in tune with the earth by recycling materials that are already in circulation. There is something magical about transforming the old into the new. Like the fairy tale, turning straw into gold... Yarn Alchemy! By purchasing these beautifully reclaimed yarns, you contribute to eco-consciousness and indulge your passion at the same time. How cool is that?!
