Beautiful Vintage Chartreuse Ceramic Console Bowl by Haeger c 1950.

This Hand-Painted bowl has an abstract or free form 'S' shape to it and the Chartreuse color is absolutely To Die For.

The inner base color is a soft Creamy color and the Cream glaze seems to roll up and over the lip of the bowl and drips down over the outer Chartreuse color creating a Fabulous drippy look. But even more Impressive is how the combination of the Cream and Chartreuse Glaze blends to a wonderful soft Aqua or Turquoise color which looks like it outlines the bottom portion of each drip. This detail and craftsmanship is nothing short of Amazing!

The ceramic Console Bowl is in Great Vintage Condition with no chips, nicks or crazing. However, as I was listing it I noticed a hair line crack on the inside of the base of the bowl. The crack looks like a scratch and seems to be only a surface level defect. Regardless, this does not take a way from the look, functionality or beauty of this piece.

This is a Wonderful & Special item for any collector and would also look gorgeous on a Sun Porch or in a Beach House, Shabby Chic abode as well as any Mid Century Modern or Modern homes.

The familiar Haeger USA mark can be found on the bottom of the bowl along with the 3 'Stilt' marks (see photo # 5).

If you are not familiar with 'Stilt Marks', they are rough marks made from metal stilts (typically 3) which are used during the glazing process to prevent the base of the item from sticking to the shelves. Once the process is complete, the item is removed from the stilts and the roughness is ground down to make the area smooth but at the same time creates some scratches. You will see these types of scratches on the bottom of this piece and is always a tell-tale sign of the handmade process.
