Rich, luminous cobalt blue glazed, Danish mid century pottery vase with a raised wheel or flower medallion on two sides. Bits of the brown underglaze and taupe and rust blend together and come through the blue around the rim, at the 'shoulder' and the wheel / stylized flower on this cool 60's bottle vase. In excellent condition, no cracks or chips - the glaze is high gloss. Lovely bottle shape with a graceful, elongated neck - very nice proportions. Signed by hand on the bottom: 3313, Soholm, Denmark, Stentoj. Maria Philippi created this vase in 1963 for Soholm Pottery as part of her "Nordlys" (Northern Lights) series.
