Here's a bit of history on this company; Brier Manufacturing Company was founded in 1911 by Benjamin Brier, Charles Brier and Samuel Magid.
At one time it was known to be the second largest costume jewelry company in the world, with Coro being first.
Burleigh Greenberg one of its founders was credited with bringing plastics into the jewelry design after World War 2. Thank you Mr. Greenberg!
A friend of the late Daniel Swarovski, Greenberg was the first importer of Swarovski stones at a time that they were still manufactured in Czechoslovakia.
The “Little Nemo” Company of Brier’s manufactured necklaces, brooches, bracelets, dress and fur clips. They also manufactured charm bracelets and charms, tiaras, hair clips using silver plated, bronze tone, gilded brass and pot metal bases with hand-faceted clear and colored rhinestones.
The Company stopped their operations in 1978.

Frequently asked questions about TheVintageBlingBox

Vintage Jewelry should never be immersed in water because of stones and materials used in the construction of said jewelry. Using a dry cloth to clean and polish jewelry is the best method. I use a microfibre cloth and it does amazingly well in dusting of and sparkling up these beautiful pieces. You can use a soft toothbrush to get in between the stones. Gently with the brush.

Keep jewelry in a dry place. Moisture is not your costume jewelry friend.

Bakelite pieces should be kept away from your other jewelry pieces. Store in a separate box.

Beaded necklaces should be stored flat instead of hung if you want to keep the waxed cord from stretching out.

I keep my gold-tone and silver-tone pieces separate also.
