You can't stay safe and protected and confined and still learn the lessons you need to learn.

In order to grow, you need to take risks. You need to not always be so safe. You need to go on adventures. You need to have your equilibrium knocked around a bit.

This piece is an original, one of a kind painting on a page of a vintage Alice in Wonderland, and is 4 3/4" x 7 1/4". The painting itself is inspired by the section of writing it is painted over. There are irregularities in the page that add to the vintage "found" character, as when I got this book, it had already been well loved by who knows how many children, and colored by the passage of time.

This painting is painted with gold metallic acrylic paint, which does not photograph with the same metallic quality. Whatever looks yellow in the photo, is a metallic gold and changes character with the light. I don't sell prints of anything with metalllic paint, and this why.

The piece is shipped in a clear cello envelope with archival cardboard backing and arrives in a stiff mailer for protection. The original work is sent via USPS with insurance and tracking number.

I blogged about this painting here http://warriorgirl.blogspot.com/2009/11/flying-girl-jumps-into-night-or-oh-you.html
