A pitcher and four drinking glasses in the difficult to find "Mesi" pattern (Mesi means honey in Finish). Designed by Tapio Wirkkala for iittala of Finland and produced there between 1966 and 1985.

One of the masters of Finnish design, the talented Wirkkala began his collaboration with iittala in 1946 when he won a design award in a competition organized by the famous design company. He became their artistic director and continued a lifelong relationship with the firm.

Pitcher and glasses featured a raised design of vertical lines and different size bubbles distributed in a random pattern at the center of the surface. An elegant and beautiful design.

In beautiful vintage condition. No cracks or chips on pitcher and three of the glasses. One glass has a small chip on the inside of the rim. I have priced the set accordingly. Pitcher measures 4" in diameter, 8 3/4" tall. Glasses measure 2 3/8" in diameter, 5 1/2" tall.
