Fish Wood Carving Whimsical Art, Log Cabin Christmas Gift by Gary Burns the Treewiz, Handmade woodworking. "Kipper" is a very friendly Aquaknot. He's got flowing beard and is really a looker. But he is sorta tuckered out. He's been swimming very hard these days. He's fun loving and always loves to joke around. He always has a smile to offer. He always makes himself available to those in need and is a valued member of the Aquatic Community. He measures 6 1/4" x 3 1/8" x 1 1/2" thick.

"Kipper" is flat on the back so he can hang on the wall. I have carved a notch in the back for hanging and Signed it Wiz as well.

He is carved out of an old growth pine knot. A pine knot is what a branch does when it goes into the trunk of a pine tree. The tree dies, rots and falls over, and the trunk eventually rots away leaving the knot. Very few of these are good to carve as the sun bakes them and eventually the critters eat them. It is my favorite wood to carve.

The pine knots do change color over time. Some change quickly and some change slowly. They go from a light yellow to an orange color, I am assuming from the UV light. Some are deeper orange than others. This is just a heads up as the longer I have them after making them, the more different the color is from the photo. It is too much to try and take pictures and change them as the piece changes. The orange color is a much warmer color than the yellow. I like it just as well.

Full of fun and love, AquaKnotz link our seemingly real world with the Realm of Fantasy. Love and Understanding is all they know. These enlightened creatures accept everything as perfect and give our world Hope and The Way to a wondrous future.

Aquaknots love to be around their own kind, so watch out. If you get one, you may have to get more to make up a herd.

These guys are very collectible.
One would make a wonderful gift for any household.

Frequently asked questions about TreeWizWoodCarvings

All of my carvings have a lacquer finish. Dusting with a feather duster or blowing off with a compressor is all that is necessary on the carved trees, fish and carved faces. I use Orange oil on the smooth surfaces. This will perk them up. I would do it as often as you polish your furniture. Once a month would keep them looking great but is not necessary.
I will contact you as soon as I get your order. I will package it that day or the next. I take it to the Post Office the next morning. If I get an order on Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday it will be in Monday mornings mail.
I use Priority United States postal service mail.
I do ship outside of the US. I need to know the carving that you are interested in and your complete shipping address. I will figure what it costs to ship to your address and make the changes to the listing so that you can make the purchase.
