I've never been very good with wearing rings. As a teen, I thought they were wonderful, and had a habit of buying them enthusiastically, only to remember later that I didn't much care for the feeling of wearing rings. I eventually gave up and stopped buying them. And then my then boyfriend, now husband, proposed to me. Since then, my left ring finger feels strange without those special bands.
I discovered a new dilemma - what to do with the rings when my hands were wet or messy. I had begun playing with making tree limbs when I thought it might be lovely to make miniature versions of trees to place my rings on while washing dishes or throwing pots. Thus, the ring tree.
This twisted one is a shifting mix of browns, green tinted and rusty, deep in the crevasses but breaking out golden along ridges. Drop off your rings or simply let it adorn your desk.
