A beautiful antique Victorian engraving from the Art Journal of 1849.

Engraved from the work of Sir A.W. Calcott, Painter in the Vernon Gallery by E. Wallis, engraver.

A finely detailed observation. With the town in the distance and boats in the bay, the ferry with a capable woman in charge pulls away. Her deposited passengers gossip and ask for directions, whilst hens scrabble in the dirt.

The print is 163 years old and is in good vintage condition. Some foxing.

Print measures 9.5" x 12.5" overall.

I will mail it out flat in a rigid pack to ensure safe transit.
